So on the 12th of June of the year 2010, four fearless SolutionsPT employees and their walking buddies set off to climb up a b***dy big mountain in Wales, all 3506ft of Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales
It started badly, Snell had a sniffle and Legg had a bad leg, and Boyle couldn’t find the place…..but we all finally got going at about 10.30am
We lost one on the way - leggys leg gave up the ghost and we couldn’t keep up with Boyle and his pals through their speed and agility, probably due to the fact they were a good ten years younger than the rest of us………… My god they were quick!!
Roche embraced the PINK challenge by being ….well very PINK…..in fact so pink that every other person that walked past her mentioned it…… which was great for moral and promoting why we were doing it (Breast Cancer) ………….Roche has now had a call from the mountain rescue and has agreed to be employed as fluorescent flare for emergency rescues, every other Tuesday and Thursday during October to January.
We all met up at the top, congratulated ourselves with squashed sandwiches and crushed crisps…..and set off back down again….knees hurting, legs shaking – but elated in what we had all achieved.
Helena was sadly missed though illness, but is going to brave it alone in July (dressed in pink etc.) So please keep the donations coming!! b
